At Appletree Gardens we want all pupils to 'Grow their learning' so that they flourish in all aspects of school life and beyond. We have outlined five golden strands, statements we want all pupils to to be able to say, in order to achieve our ethos:

Pupil premium is funding to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils. We think carefully about the barriers our pupil premium children face, at different points in their school life and the context of our community. We look for creative and sustainable strategies that support all pupils to access our golden strands and provide a robust pupil premium offer. This is set out in our strategy statements below.
