Cooking in forest school

Today Year 3 made Stone Age bread. To make this we started off my grinding flour from oats. This would have been possible during the rise of crops and farming. The children enjoyed this task but were relieved when I said they could stop. 
Year 3, as an extension to their prior History session on the Stone Age, foraged for part of their snack today. The children gathered blackberries from our bushes. We cleaned them up and added some honey, sadly that part was shop bought. This was a yummy treat.
