Flexible Childcare and Nursery


In addition to our school Nursery, which provides 15 hour placements for all 3 year olds, we also offer a range of Flexible Childcare Options for families including:

  • Little Pips 2 - 4 year old provision - government funded and privately paid for sessions available for 2-4 year olds
  • 30 Hours free childcare for those eligible
  • Breakfast and After School Care
  • Holiday Clubs

Additional Fee Paying Sessions Available - see below

All children aged 3 are entitled to 15 hours free childcare.  This is covered in our school Nursery.  From September we will also be offering the 30 hours free childcare for those eligible.  

Children eligible for the 15 hours only:

Session Times 

Morning Nursery: 8:45 am - 11:45 am
Afternoon Nursery: 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Additional Fee Paying Sessions

In addition to this, from September we are offering fee paying sessions mornings and afternoons to cater for your needs.  These additional sessions will be delivered in Appletree Gardens Out of School Care.   Please note these times do not cover the lunchtime period and should your child need to stay for this time an additional cost will be incurred.

Session Times:

Monday - Friday between:

9:00 am - 12:00 pm
12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Session Charge £9.00

Lunch Time Care Cost 

Session Charge £4.00


Children eligible for the 30 hours:

 30 hours free childcare will be provided solely by Appletree Gardens Nursery.

Out Of School Care (OOSC) staff will collect children for lunch at 11:45 am and return them at 12:30 pm at a cost of £4.  Packed Lunch required.

We offer free places for families that meet the government criteria.

Find out if you are eligible for free childcare by following the link below.


Your 2-year-old can get free early education and childcare if you get one of the following:
  • Income Support
  • income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Universal Credit
  • tax credits and you have an annual income of under £16,190 before tax
  • the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • support through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act
  • the Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
A child can also get free early education and childcare if any of the following apply:
  • they’re looked after by a local council
  • they have a current statement of special education needs (SEN) or an education, health and care (EHC) plan
  • they get Disability Living Allowance
  • they’ve left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order
