Expectations

KS2 children should line up on the playground each morning and will be collected by their class teacher.

P.E

Class 7 have PE every Monday (indoor) and Tuesday (outdoor).
Class 8 have PE every Monday (indoor) and Tuesday (outdoor).
Please make sure they have their full P.E. kit in school all week.
In the Summer Term pupils will take part in weekly swimming lessons.

Homework, Book Bags and Reading Scheme Information

Your child will will receive a half termly homework letter in their homework books which they will take home in a red folder.  Homework is sent home on Friday and should be returned to school the following Tuesday.

Each child should have a book bag which they bring with them each day into school. Children will be heard to read regularly, Teachers will review progress and change levels accordingly. Reading is also supported by teaching assistants and volunteers. 

Sets Information

We have ability sets for Numeracy which enables us to provide rich, tailored learning experiences that fully support and challenge all pupils. Your child may have a  different teacher for this subject.

Literacy will be taught in classes by the class teacher.

 

Topics

Year 3 have a range of exciting half termly topics including: Around the World in 80 Days, Wicked Waterways, Wheels, Wings and Other Things, Mummy Mania, Savage Stone Age and Food for Thought.
